Hole saw diameter:
ø43mm
Use mandrel:
TC17004
Application:
The Bi-metal hole saw’s fast cutting power lies behind its HSS (hi-speed
steel) manufactured teeth.
The teeth have been set to a variable pitch to
improve harmonic vibration and to have a better chip clearance.
The hole saw can be used to cut into:
- Aluminium
- Copper
- Mild steel (sheet metal)
- Stainless steel (sheet metal)
- Zinc
- Wood
- Drywall (plaster board)
- PVC
The Bi-metal hole saws are primarily used by electricians, plumbers,
machinists and carpenters.
Features:
- Low vibration and even cut due to the variable pitched teeth.
- Strong electron beam welded cup design with a tough alloy body for added
durability.
- Knock out hole for plug removal.
- Depth of cut: 38mm
- Long life – when used properly within the correct rpm and using a
lubricant when cutting into metals.
Lubricant tip:
Use paraffin or beeswax when cutting into aluminium. Use
CT-90 or a general-purpose lubricating oil when cutting into steel.

Hole saw diameter:
ø16mm
Use mandrel:
TC17002-2
Application:
The hole saw’s cup design is manufactured from a special alloy steel and the
cutting edges are Tungsten Carbide gritted. It is specially designed to drill
into abrasive materials.
The hole saw can be used to cut into:
- Fiberglass
- Kevlar
- Asbestos
- Graphite
- Carbon
- Brick
- Tiles
- Plaster slabs
- Walls
- Light stones
- Weatherboard
IMPORTANT:
Do not use with hammer/percussion action or to drill into concrete.

Sizes: 32 – 152mm
Application:
Allows for using bigger size hole saws with the smaller size mandrel,
multiple adapters can be fitted to different sizes of saws to allow quick
and easy interchange.

Drill bit diameter: Ø6.35mm
Drill bit: TCT (Tungsten Carbide Tipped)
Application:
The drill bit is a replacement pilot drill bit for Tungsten Carbide Tipped
(TCT) hole saws.
Replacing the pilot drill bit:
- Use an Allen key (TC17016) or in some cases a slot-head screwdriver to undo
the grub screw securing the pilot drill bit in the mandrel.
- Replace the pilot drill bit by aligning the flat side on the shank with
the grub screw.
- Tighten the grub screw. Make sure the pilot drill bit is secured.
- In some cases it would be necessary to remove the hole saw from the mandrel
to replace the pilot drill bit.
Mandrel replacement pilot drill bits:
- Ø6.35 x 115mm (extra long) for bi-metal hole saws –
TC00001
- ø6.35 x 70mm for bi-metal hole saws –
TC00002
- Tungsten Carbide Tipped (TCT) series hole saws –
TC00003
- Carbide grit hole saws –
TC00004
- Diamond coated hole saws –
