The POL05-SK01 kit groups the key parts of the spindle lock system – split washer, self-locking pin spring and self-lock pin (items 17–19 on the parts diagram) – into one convenient pack so you can refresh the entire mechanism in a single repair.
Over time, the lock pin can wear, the spring can lose tension and the small split washer can flatten, leaving the lock feeling vague, slow to release or unreliable under load.
Fitting the complete POL05-SK01 kit restores a crisp, positive lock that engages firmly when you press the button and releases cleanly once you are ready to get back to polishing.
