Max Chuck Capacity: 16mm
Mount size: B16 Taper

A drill chuck with a B16 taper is a tool used to hold and secure drill bits for drilling operations. The B16 taper
is a standardized conical shape that ensures a secure and accurate fit between the chuck and the machine spindle.
The keyless version of this chuck eliminates the need for a separate key to tighten and loosen the jaws. Instead, it
utilizes a self-tightening mechanism, often involving a sleeve or ring that is rotated to expand or contract the
jaws. This design offers several advantages, including faster operation, reduced risk of losing the key, and
improved ergonomics.
Application:
- Centering, drilling, tapping, milling, reaming operation.
- To hold a drill bit or other cutting tools on a spindle.
- Automobile manufacturing
- Mold manufacturing
- Machinery manufacturing

Tork Craft Keyless Drill Chuck — 13 mm × 1/2″ × 20 UNF (Self-Tightening)
Upgrade your drill with quick, tool-free bit changes and a secure grip. This 13 mm keyless, self-tightening chuck fits spindles with a 1/2″ × 20 UNF thread and provides smooth tightening action with strong clamping force for general drilling in wood, plastics and light metals.
Ultra replacement 13mm (1/2′) keyless
drill chuck, 20 UNF thread. Replacement drill chuck for use in most small
electric and cordless drills. Self tightening chuck type.
- Fits most 13mm drills
- 1/2in x 20 UNF thread
- Opening capacity: 13mm
- Durable all metal construction
Installation Info
Most chucks will have a reverse threaded
screw locking them in place that will have to be removed before unscrewing and
replacing the chuck.
Pro Tip
- To seat the chuck firmly on the spindle, run the drill in reverse at low speed for a second after hand-tightening.
- If you notice slip on tough materials, retighten at mid-stroke: stop, add a quarter-turn by hand, then continue drilling.

20mm
Keyed chuck with B22 taper. A correct taper adapter may be required to fit the
chuck to your machine application. This version is B22 (Metric DIN standard).
- B22 taper
- Large taper diameter: 21.793mm
- Small taper diameter: 19.80mm
- Taper length: 40.50mm
- Opening capacity: 20mm
- All metal construction
- Chuck key included
Installation Info
Clean both tapers of all grease and grit. With the chuck jaws completely
retracted into the chuck and using a thin piece of wood to protect the chuck nose,
tap the chuck into place on the spindle/taper adaptor.
To remove chuck from arbor
Insert wedges between the back of the chuck and the shoulder of the arbor as shown in the picture on the right.
By tapping these wedges with a hammer or applying force in a bench vice, the wedges will force the chuck off the arbor shaft.

SDS-Max to SDS-Plus adapter
In some cases you might need to use a SDS-Plus drill bit and do not have the machine
to match the bit. We offer an adapter that will allow one to convert a SDS-Max
machine to be able to accept an SDS-Plus drill bit.
Allows SDS-Plus drill bits, chisels and accessories to be used in SDS-Max machines
giving it flexibility of user options.
Never overdo it! Look at the maximum
capacity (diameter bit) your drilling tool can handle. You might damage the power
tool (i.e. burn it out). This product is applied purely for convenience or flexibility
purposes within limits.
Example: Installing a 50mm drill bit in the adapter might break the
adapter shaft due to exceeding the torque capability that the shaft can handle.
